Theresa Pilsl is a German soprano, and one of the rising stars of her generation in both operatic and concert performances. In the current season she will perform, among other things, the soprano part in Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s ‘Elijah’ with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and ‘A German Requiem’ by Johannes Brahms in Munich and Passau.

Further concerts this season include song recitals at the International Music Festival Heidelberger Frühling, the Lied-Festival HIDALGO Munich, at the concert series ‘Im Zentrum Lied’ in Cologne, as well as a solo recital at the Audi Christmas Concerts with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra under the musical direction of Ariel Zuckermann.

She has collaborated with conductors and orchestras such as the Montreal Symphony Orchestra under Kent Nagano, the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under Pietari Inkinen, and the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra under Katharina Müllner. She has given song recitals at venues including the Pierre Boulez Saal and the Pianosalon Christophori in Berlin, the Tauberphilharmonie and the Mozartfest Würzburg, as well as song improvisation evenings at the Abgussmuseum and the Haus der Kunst in Munich as part of the Ja, Mai Festival of the Bavarian State Opera.

Theresa Pilsl studied singing at the University of the Arts Berlin and the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin. In parallel, she studied medicine at the Charité Berlin and has been a licensed physician since 2021. Currently, she is pursuing her doctorate at LMU Munich in Phoniatrics with a focus on voice physiology under Prof. Echternach. Theresa Pilsl was born and raised in Passau.
