Sounds of Luosto 2026 – the program published!

The program and performers for the Sounds of Luosto festival, taking place in the beginning of August, have been published.

The four-day festival will take place 6.8.–9.8. on Luosto, Pyhä, and in Sodankylä. The theme for this year is Music of Travel, and there will be ten concerts.

The program includes a diverse selection of solo, orchestral, and chamber music, with works from the Renaissance to the present days, both familiar and lesser-known.

The concerts explore famous journeys and musical souvenirs, reflect on the emotions of setting out on a new path, and examine composers at crossroads. One concert will also mark the end of an extensive musical journey through Beethoven’s piano sonatas, which began in Sodankylä in 2018.

The main concert on the Ukko-Luosto stage features the Kuopio Symphony Orchestra with conductor Aku Sorensen and young rising star baritone Gabriel Kivivuori Sereno. The orchestra maintains an over 110-year-old tradition as the largest orchestra from Eastern Finland.

All tickets are sold via Ticketmaster. During the festival tickets can also be purchased from the festival office and at the door.
