Anna-Maria Huohvanainen began violin playing as a four-year-old in Belgrad, and is now working in Helsinki as an active solo and chamber music performer, focusing primarily on contemporary music. Huohvanainen graduated from the Mokranjac Music School in 2012, after which she completed a B-exam in violin at the Turku Arts Academy and graduated as a musician in 2017. She has received additional tuition at masterclasses of teachers such as Jari Valoo, Réka Szilvay, and Petri Aarnio. Now, she is finishing up her studies at the Sibelius Academy under Tero Latvala.

In 2018, she performed with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra as part of their Side-by-Side program. The Fearless Warriors of the Roseland, which Huohvanainen was a part of as both violinist and composer, was granted funding from the Nordic Culture Fund in March of 2016. In the spring of 2022, Huohvanainen worked as the second concertmaster of the Lappeenranta City Orchestra.
